ENGINEERING MATHEMATICS

This book, Engineering Mathematics for Diploma Engineering Students, has been prepared with the objective of presenting the subject in a clear, systematic and student-friendly manner. The contents have been organised according to the prescribed Engineering Mathematics syllabus, Subject Code BSC101. The curriculum develops mathematical knowledge in three broad areas: Matrix, Measurement of Angles and Trigonometry, and Calculus. The course is designed to develop the ability of students to solve systems of linear equations arising in engineering fields, apply calculus to concurrent and subsequent engineering studies, solve quantitative problems, understand concrete and abstract mathematical problems, and communicate mathematical ideas effectively. The book is therefore structured into five chapters: 1. Matrices and Determinants 2. Straight Lines 3. Trigonometry 4. Differential Calculus and Applications 5. Integral Calculus and Applications
